We exist to promote and encourage the participation of women in all aspects of community life, promoting opportunities for women and girls, in all their life stations.
Our Work
We work with, and across all sectors, to identify and bring about change to ensure that there is equity, equality and security for women and girls in all their diversities all across South Africa and the entire Sub-Saharan region.
The WAF Global Foundation was established in 2012 as a non-profit (NPO) and Public Benefit Organization (PBO). The organisation has grown and aligned resources for the changing needs of women in our constituency. Our work focuses on empowering women to their rightful place of equality, equitable opportunity, safety and leadership in Society.
WAF ensures that women are equipped to utilize opportunities in socio-economic spheres. Through capacity building, network building, mentorship, advocacy and wellbeing programmes we enable women to self-sufficiency, personal growth and development.

Our Key Areas
WAF provides capacity building, leadership, advocacy and resource mobilization in relation to all socio-economic aspects in the lives of women and girls.
Expertly Planned Interventions
We provide expertly planned interventions that expose women and girls to economic opportunities policy advice as well as advocacy on policies, legislation, programs and practices which impact on women and children experiencing socio-economic opportunities.
To this end, WAF will:
- Create and manage a forum for networking, skills transfer, support and sharing of knowledge amongst people for women;
- Present a united voice for women’s development, empowerment, safety and contribution to socio-economic.
- Run educational support, training, skills development and empowerment programmes to improve employability of women;
- Promote strategies and activities for personal development, confidence building and self-determination;
- Encourage and promote women’s participation in socio-political spheres including leadership in ministries of faith and political participation;
- Provide counseling, mentorship and coaching services;
- Fundraise and mobilise resources for feeding schemes and distribution of basic necessities to disadvantaged women;
- Partner with governmental entities and other stakeholders in poverty eradication, alleviating the burden of disease;
- Create a platform to cater for the socio-economic needs of orphans and widows;
- Engage in activities to restore women to their God ordained position in life.

Our Core Values
WAF operates through three strategies that are acronymic as SOS which are Spiritual Nourishment; Outreach and Compassion and Socio-Economic Empowerment.
- Empowerment – We are committed to work with marginalized communities to capacitate and upskill women on relevant qualifications, spiritual matters and business acumen to heighten recognition in business and career world.
- Transformation– We believe in supporting life changing initiatives that not only transform women but also capacitate them to transform lives of others
- Sound doctrine– We believe in the balanced teaching of the Word of God and we hold sound doctrine in high esteem.
- Family -We believe that families are anchors of strong communities which will affect the health of other institutions, for example schools among others
- Relationships– We believe that loving relationships should permeate every aspect of our lives for example church life, school life, home or community life and work life
- Excellence– We believe that excellence honors God, inspires greatness and permeates our whole life as a people.
Constituent Group
WAF targets women from all walks of life currently residing in South Africa but with a focus of extending to the whole of Africa as resources permit. This group includes all married women, divorced, singles, singles mothers, the youth and teenagers. Men accompanying their spouses, sisters and friends are always welcome to many WAF activities.
While WAF believes that women are very central to the spiritual, social and economic life of any community, it also believes strongly that men are essential partners created by God to work together with women from the beginning to fulfil his purposes on earth. This is in line with the Word of God.
